I am planning to build a aquarium about 160x50x60 cm with maybe 16mm thick glass.
what can I expect to pay for that glass here in Finland (with sanding) ?
And can you give me some links to glass factory in Finland or places where they sell glass and cut for you?

That sized aquarium should go with 10-12mm glass. And making it by yourself will be more expensive than buying for example this:

I bought that Wromak 450L aqua 2 months ago and build quality is pretty good. Sorry to turn you down with your project, but glass is quite expensive in Finland for DIY aquas.

15 mm is the thickness they make. But for a tank that size 12 mm should do.
As a rule of thumb retail-price for glass that size is almost the same as the cheapest tanks are. But if you are willing to ask, get a quote from a large distributor such as Kivijärvi Oy or similar... http://www.lasitusliike.fi/ They do trade on thicker glass on regular basis, so the price could be tolerable. They do sanding, too.

Usually glass in expensive, when bought in small amounts. I was planning to make 200-litres DIY aquarium, but the man in glass-shop said, when Iasked an offer: "You should buy ten of these. Then it's affordable". The glasses would have payed a lot more than "Giant" aquarium, for instance.

But DIY is wonderful philosophy, and that's a good way!
