I am new to finalnd and I have been doing reef aquariums now for 20 years but now i am in finland and have no contacts with reef aquarists .i am planning to set up a reef very soon but theres alot that i need to find and get . if you ever feel like getting together and just talk about the reef hobbie or could help me find some of the things i need to get my aquarium up and running please contact me . Also if you want to future order from somewhere and want to make it cheaper for the both of us .I just miss meeting people and learning more of other peoples ideas and the styles of europes reefs.I am from U.S.A. Florida ,Marathon Key.. Welcome to Finland! There is about 20-30 'active' reef-aquarists in finland and at least the same amount of people who are not involved in 'reef-activities' People who visit this forum know ech other quite well.. at least most of... We often wisit ech other (which is unusuall for us finns who usually do not even know our neigbours ) and talk/arque about reef-issues and everything else. If you use IRC- you can find us at #merivesi channel where many of us spend our work days

So if you are coming to Helsinki you are wery welcome to visit us (in Espoo 15km from Helsinki-city) (just contact by private message) And i think that all others are wery happy to have you as a quest too.

The only reef-shop is in Vantaa (15km from Helsinki) called Siniriutta http://www.siniriutta.fi/

And we also have a web-shop: Coral import finland (could't find home page...) they are just starting up and we are waiting what they are coming up with in autumn.

Summer is a very quiet season becouse everyone is on holiday, but soon things will get active again.

Indeed welcome to Finland and good luck with Kuopio, it's not an easy task to set up and run a marine tank over there I think. Winter is approaching so it' s great to have something live to stare at - our marine tanks at least.

Welcome for a visit when in the capital area. I would suggest that we all get together at some point to chitchat about this hobby, I at least haven't met most of the guys and gals here.
